MILLIE-mAYE'S WILD SWIM CHALLANGE
Millie-Maye in Year 11 wanted to raise funds for the school's Mental Health Hub and Art department, to support and help children like her to flourish.
During the year of lockdown Millie-Maye found wild water swimming extremely beneficial for her mental and physical health. Millie-Maye lives with chronic pain and she finds relief through cold water swimming.
She pledged to swim every day in the river for three weeks, over the Easter holidays, no matter the weather and experienced; snow, minus temperatures, wind, hail and wonderful sunshine.
Millie-Maye completed her final swim on 18th April and has so far raised £575! Well done Millie-Maye, what a fantastic achievement!
