SPONSORED WALK

Our 30th Anniversary Sponsored Walk finally took place on Thursday 7th July!

After postponing the walk from Easter due to bad weather, it was really great for the children, staff and dogs to get out and walk through the Oxfordshire countryside in the glorious Summer weather.

KS3/4 had the opportunity to walk the full 30k or a shorter 15k walk along the beautiful Thames path.

Between them, they raised a fantastic £2,500 towards our 30th Anniversary Campaign.

A special Thank you to Mrs Cripps, who raised an amazing £1,070. She walked with her daughter and Granddaughter-

“I was all geared to do the sponsored walk when it was sadly postponed in March due to bad weather. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do it on the appointed day as I am marking a crazy number of GCSE and A-level papers. Having got quite a lot of sponsorship, I felt I had to do the walk, so I did it in instalments with my daughter and granddaughter.

Due to having a baby with us we needed to park at various points along the route, the obvious choice was at pubs, so we had many enjoyable lunches along the way. Due to parking, we had to return to the car, so we did double the walk too!

I think between us, we represent the oldest and youngest participants”

KS2 made the most of the sunshine and walked around the local parks.

Those who did not walk completed a 300 cupcake challenge, spending the day baking and decorating 300 unicorn themed cupcakes!
