David brings a wealth of school leadership experience and a successful track record of supporting the varied needs of students with moderate and complex learning issues within a genuinely inclusive school environment, with outstanding results. He has over thirty-eight years’ experience in State and Independent schools across the UK and his previous leadership roles include Headmaster of Saint Felix School in Southwold; Headmaster of Skegness Grammar School in Lincolnshire; Principal of Bredon School in Gloucestershire; Director at St David’s College, North Wales. Headmaster at Crown House School in High Wycombe. Most recently, he was Headmaster of Riverston School, a leading Autism School in London, part of Chatsworth Schools, before his retirement in September 2023. As a consultant, he supports and advises schools across the UK and abroad. He has an MA in Educational Studies and is passionate about the Creative Arts.
David is married to Jane, a retired physiotherapist, and they live in Langton, nr Horncastle in Lincolnshire. While teaching, he spent 4 years as a professional sportsman – an International Rugby player – and is an Outdoor Education enthusiast.
