Outreach at Oxford Brookes

Before half term Unicorn staff visited Oxford Brookes University to deliver a fun and informative training session on Dyscalculia for their PGDip Dyslexia and SpLD students.

We talked about:

• The effects of Maths anxiety
• How we structure our sessions to support Dyscalculic learners
• Using assistive tech to boost confidence
• How to make Maths more engaging through games and play

The team brought along lots of resources, books, and manipulatives—and the adult students had just as much fun exploring them as the children usually do!
