Exam Results 2026

We are proud of this year’s exam results, which reflect both the resilience of our students and the impact of The Unicorn School’s specialist, nurturing approach. Through personalised programmes of study, students have developed the confidence, skills and qualifications needed to take their next steps.

Highlights include:

• 100% of students entered for Art, English Literature, and Geography GCSE achieved a Grade 4 or above.
• 70% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English, a particularly notable achievement given that many of our students have dyslexia and other learning differences that can present additional challenges in literacy-based qualifications.
• 72% of students studying for their GCSE or BTEC Food received a grade 4 or above.
• Two thirds of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in Biology, Chemistry, Film Studies and Food Technology.
• 71% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in Physics GCSE.
• Students achieved top grades 7, 8 and 9 across nine subjects.
• More than a third of students achieved four or more Grade 4s or equivalents.

Students leave The Unicorn School with a broad portfolio of GCSEs, BTECs and Functional Skills qualifications and have progressed to a range of destinations, including sixth form, college and vocational training. These outcomes demonstrate how a nurturing, specialist education can help young people re-engage with learning, achieve recognised qualifications and realise their potential.
