Cedar, Ash and Elm Residential trip to Hindleap warren

Cedar, Ash and Elm have just come back from a fantastic trip to Hindleap Warren, a residential activity centre in 300 acres of beautiful private woodland.
Whilst there we undertook activities such as a forest adventure, which involved a whole afternoon exploring the forest whilst fighting our way through dense undergrowth and up a fast flowing river in pursuit of evidence of the rare ‘drop bears’ that inhabited this part of the forest…possibly.
The children were amazing during this challenging adventure and many surprised themselves with their determination and courage in tackling the difficult terrain.
This was, of course, all undertaken under the watchful eye of our very knowledgeable Hindleap Rangers, who ensured that our adventures were punctuated by juice and biscuits and remained totally safe.
We all had a go at archery, wall climbing, pioneering, the crate stack challenge and canoeing, as well as working our way around the exciting obstacle courses, all in the phenomenal setting of gorgeous woodlands and frequently accompanied by wild deer.
In the evenings we went for a lovely forest walk to the ancient ‘Witch’s Tree’ and went swimming in their heated indoor pool.
A great time was had by children and staff alike and we were delighted that we were constantly commended upon the excellent behaviour and manners of The Unicorn children.
We very much hope to visit Hindleap again in a couple of years!
