| How is this assessed? | Mock exams in December and again in March of Year 11 as practice before the real exams.
We will supply details of which topics are being covered in the mock exams. Public exams in May and June of Year 11. There are 6 exams: 2 × Biology, 2 × Chemistry, 2 × Physics = Combined Science Each exam has a standard length of 1 hour 10 minutes, and is worth 60 marks. |

| Other useful notes | Combined Science is a “double award” GCSE which counts as two GCSEs.
After mock exams, the science teachers will help make decisions about whether a student could be entered for a Foundation Tier or a Higher Tier GCSE set of exams. |
